DescriptionReefscape with a brownish gray Branching Vase Sponge [Callyspongia vaginalis] as the center piece. Branching Vase Sponge have thin, stiff-walled tubes with irregular conical projections. Clusters usually range from a few, up to 20 or 30 tubes. Colors vary from lavender, to brownish gray, to greenish gray, and occasionally light tan. Vase and fan shapes can be found in areas of strong current and/or sedimentation.
