DescriptionA cluster of brownish gray Branching Vase Sponge [Callyspongia vaginalis] found on Vista Blue reef in Bonaire. They have thin, stiff-walled tubes with irregular conical projections. Clusters usually range from a few to 20 or 30 tubes. Colors vary from lavender, to brownish gray, to greenish gray, and occasionally light tan. Vase and fan shapes can be found in areas of strong current and/or sedimentation.
